The price of a mandatory inspection is almost never set as a flat rate. It depends on the scope of the equipment, the number of inspection points, accessibility and region. Nevertheless, an indicative range can be compiled across sectors to help you with your budget before the technician arrives on site to make their own calculation.

The additional cost also varies by region: an inspection in a large city with more available technicians is usually priced differently than one in a remote area where the technician must travel. Therefore, treat the ranges listed below as a budgetary guide, not as a binding offer.

Chimney: inspection and cleaning

Inspection and cleaning of the flue gas passage costs approximately from 1 800 Kč. The price is mainly influenced by the number of chimney flues, their accessibility (a chimney on a flat roof without inspection doors will cost more than an easily accessible chimney at a detached house), and the region where the chimney sweep operates. Fire extinguisher: operational inspection

The annual operational check of a single fire extinguisher typically ranges between 80 and 150 Kč per unit; the price per unit usually drops as more extinguishers are inspected at once. This is why it pays for the building's owners' association and companies to arrange an inspection for all extinguishers in the building or premises together. The periodic test (pressure test after three or five years depending on type) is more expensive, as it involves dismantling and a service intervention, not just a visual check. Air conditioning: leak tightness check

A leak test for one air-conditioning unit costs approximately from 1 200 Kč. The final price depends mainly on the refrigerant charge and the number of cooling circuits, in a multi-unit system with several outdoor units, the price is multiplied according to the scope. For commercial premises with central air conditioning (hotels, offices, restaurants), the final price for a leak test is often higher due to the number of measurement points the technician must check during the inspection. How to save on inspections

The simplest way to reduce the unit price is to combine inspections into a single appointment with one supplier: a technician who checks multiple fire extinguishers or air-conditioning units in your building at once will usually charge a lower price for each additional item than for repeated separate visits. For the building's owners' association and companies with multiple devices, this also reduces the total annual inspection cost.

For electricity, gas, lightning protection systems, pressure vessels and lifts, the price depends on the scope of installation and the number of inspection points to such an extent that a flat rate would be misleading, inspecting a consumer unit in a flat and inspecting the electrical installation of an entire apartment building are two completely different jobs. An individual enquiry also enables the technician to take into account the condition of the equipment, older installations or equipment following a previous fault may require more time than a routine check, which cannot be factored into a flat rate in advance.
