Standard ČSN EN 62305 (replacing the older ČSN 34 1390 since 2007) classifies lightning protection systems into classes I-IV according to risk level. Periodic inspection: classes I+II (hospitals, schools, museums) every 2 years, classes III+IV (standard buildings) every 4 years. An extraordinary inspection is required after any lightning strike.
